CONSTITUTIONAL AIMS:

To promote, foster and practise the arts of choral music, orchestral music, drama, musical theatre and kindred arts

To promote public awareness, knowledge and appreciation of the respective Arts

To provide opportunity for people of all ages to participate in the practice and presentation of the respective Arts

To provide community access to the presentation of works of the respective Arts

To provide opportunities for the study of and tuition and training in the respective Arts and a forum for the free discussion of all matters related to the objects of the organisation

To provide or to obtain venues, facilities and resources for the activities related to the objects of the organisation, and, where possible, in co-operation with other cultural organisations

To co-operate, co-ordinate and to affiliate with groups, bodies, agencies and individuals with interests similar to the objects of the organisation

To pursue a standard of excellence in respect of all objects and activities of the organisation

To do things, and to take actions expedient, incidental and conducive to the achievement of the above objects

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY

Performing Arts Goondiwindi Inc. acknowledges the traditional custodians of the Bigambul land we perform on. Bigambul people have a rich culture of storytelling that reaches into the past for thousands of years. We honour the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, the First Australians, whose lands, winds and waters we all now share, and their ancient and enduring cultures. We wish to acknowledge and respect their continuing culture. We pay our respects Bigambul elders past and present.
